Removal involves carefully breaking down and extracting the nest material from the chimney. Depending on the size and position of the nest, this process can take some time to complete.

Once the obstruction has been removed, a CCTV inspection of the flue is carried out to confirm the chimney is fully clear and safe to use.

Note: Nest removal is carried out outside of the bird nesting season and in accordance with wildlife legislation.

A CCTV chimney inspection allows the internal condition of the flue to be examined using a specialist chimney camera.

This enables issues such as blockages, damaged liners, heavy creosote deposits, or structural defects within the chimney to be identified that may not be visible during a standard sweep.

CCTV inspections are commonly carried out where a problem is suspected, following a chimney fire, or prior to installing a new appliance or carrying out remedial work.

A CCTV chimney inspection may be recommended when:

• A blockage is suspected within the chimney
• Smoke is not drawing correctly
• A chimney fire has occurred
• Installing or changing a stove
• Assessing the condition of an older or unlined chimney
• This dramatically improves customer understanding and enquiry rates.

Findings from the inspection can then be used to determine whether any further cleaning, repair or relining work may be required.

This service includes inspection of accessible components and replacement of common wear items to maintain proper sealing, airflow, and combustion. Typical maintenance tasks include:
